Maybe it’s wrong to admit but I can honestly tell you that I’m happier when I’m in shape. To the outside eye, it might not be noticeable but to me, it’s incredibly obvious. Because I see pictures of myself nearly every day, I pick up on these things. Beyond a feeling, it shows in my pictures! My smile is more natural, my demeanor is more playful and my body is less tense. Everything just appears to flow better!
I’ve not always been good at keeping up with fitness. I grew up playing sports so I never really had to go out of my way to exercise. I got to check that off at practices and games. I’m naturally pretty thin, but let’s not confuse thin with in shape. The older I get, the more I realize how important it is to get my body moving. Physically and mentally, it’s super important and this year, I refuse to push it off! A couple of weeks into 2021 and so far so good!
Lucky for me, I have a gym downstairs, but if you don’t that’s ok! Join me in 30 minutes of movement every single day. Be it a walk, a stretch session, barre or whatever suits you! I can almost guarantee, you’ll start to feel like your best self knowing you’re giving the best TO yourself!
