Hair up, hat on, barefoot feet, sandy toes, Northern Michigan. I spent my Holiday weekend in Harbor Springs, a special place “Up North” where your best days are filled with sunscreen, boats and water (unsalted); and your best nights are spent eating Superman ice cream from Kilwins followed by endless hours around a bonfire sipping on G&T’s (gin and tonics) with friends and family. I’ve spent many summers in Harbor Springs and am taken away by it’s beauty every single visit. I am so fortunate to live in such a beautiful state that is filled with a plethora of great escapes. I once read a billboard on my route that read “60 miles and a world away”. Lovely and so true! From my house, Harbor Springs is actually a 4 hour drive but it’s worth every minute!
The shorts I am wearing are perfect for my Up North uniform. Shorts and a tank! I love the festiveness of these red, white and blue tassel shorts! I picked them up from East Lansing Threads and will continue to wear them often this summer. My hat is a Vineyard Vines hat, also from East Lansing Threads. It says East Lansing below the whale to represent my hometown!
