How awesome is this mural?! I think it’s safe to say that I found the coolest place in Austin to take a picture. This local mural is located on the Northwest corner of Annie and South First street. I got got a kick out of the fact that it was located on Annie street given that my close friends and family often shorten my name to Annie and/or Ann. I guess it was meant to be that I found it! Each letter in the mural holds a painting of something that represents the city of Austin. With a big feature of the state Capitol painted off to the left, it is certainly a sight worth seeing. The colors just pop!

On our trip to the mural, my friend Anna and I (yes, we have the same name) made two pit stops. Our first stop was at  Bananarchy. We love bananas, so naturally, we tracked down the only place that would coat a frozen banana in delicious hard chocolate and roll it cookie crumbles. As if that wasn’t enough for our sweet tooth, we then continued on to Gourdough’s, a place that is known for selling “big, fat, donuts”. The donut options were unbelievable. We ended up with a very large donut covered in brownie batter, and topped with bananas. We clearly weren’t interested in counting calories on our little adventure! No regrets! 🙂

The outfit I am wearing was inspired by the heat (it was SO HOT) and the white on white trend that has been so “in” this summer! In regards to my outfit, I have a fun little money saving tip I must share before I cut this post short (sometimes I can really ramble!). This crop top is one of my summer favorites. It’s nice and simple, yet super cute. I especially love the buttons down the back. I found this top in the Kids section when I was out shopping the Lilly for Target line! Can you believe that?! From my experience, I’ve noticed that kids sizes typically run $30-$50 cheaper. If you tend to wear a small or a medium in women’s sizes, it doesn’t hurt to shop around in the kids section from time to time. Every now and again, I am able to squizzle into a kids XL and it actually allows me to save quite a bit of money. With that said, I am well aware this isn’t an option for every one. I just thought it was a tip worth sharing for those that it applies to! It never hurts to try it on!

I hope every one has a great week, and thanks for reading!

Xoxo, Anna
