After some time away from my blog, I am excited to say that I am back and have exciting news to share! Midwest Charm with Anna has officially moved South! Austin, Texas will be my new home for the foreseeable future. Over the course of the last month, I have been in a period of transition. As much as I wanted to keep up with my blog, it just proved to be a lot to take on as I planned a move across the country, settled down in a new city and started a new job. Now that I have my feet on the ground again, I am excited to keep writing and sharing my journey through this crazy life here in Austin, Texas. So far this town has proven to be nothing short of amazing. I live with my best friend Anna (yes, we have the same name hehe!) in downtown Austin and we rarely experience a dull moment. She is an amazing support and I would be lost without her! We love that we live in a big city that has a small city vibe to it. Each day, I strive to successfully pull off saying “y’all” instead of “you guys” and I think I am close to having it flow right off the tongue. My work friends make fun of me for sounding like a northerner! Who knew I even had an accent?!
I think it’s safe to say that I am a Michigan girl through and through. I miss the mitten, especially as we head into Fall, which just so happens to be my favorite time of year! With that said, I know this change in scenery will be good for me. I’ll head back to #PureMichigan someday! I am so excited for the adventures that lie ahead and I look forward to sharing with y’all! In terms of Fall fashion, I’ve had to really adjust my wardrobe since I have moved to this hot hot State. Their definition of Fall is not quite the same as the definition of Fall that I grew up with in the Midwest! This town isn’t ready for scarves and boots just yet! Stay tuned as Midwest Charm with Anna takes on the South and please bare with me as I slowly but surely transform and edit my blog into everything I want it to be!
p.s. I don’t believe in the not wearing white after labor day rule! Especially when it’s 95 degrees and sunny outside hehe!
