Meet Christina, owner (and stylist) at Bondi Salon. Fairly new to the downtown Holland area, I have fallen in love with this salon and the team that works inside. Christina is a 26 year hairstylist specializing in hair cutting. She has been trained by top stylist around the world and I wouldn’t have wanted anyone else to chop my hair for the new decade ahead! Christina’s spirit is contagious and her genuine desire to make you look good AND feel good is inspiring.
When I first found myself inside of Bondi, I was debating cutting my hair short. I hesitated, and ultimately decided not to. Over the course of the past year, I’ve debated cutting my hair SO many times! Almost to the point of it being obnoxious! I kept thinking to myself, either cut it or don’t but be done with the back and forth!
Fast forward to December 15, with the New Year on the horizon. I didn’t wake up thinking I was going to chop 8+ inches off of my head but when I walked into the salon, I felt it was right! I felt motivated, inspired and eager to take a bite out of life! I guess if I’m being honest, I felt a little nudge from God, telling me to take my life by the reins! And so it happened. I said to Christina as I sat in the chair, “I’m ready to cut it short!” She played with my hair in the mirror, said, “are you sure? I’m excited!” to which I replied, “I’m sure” and CHOP! The initial big chop was complete and the next thing I remember is holding what was my pony tail in my hands! I remember feeling a thrill and a sense of accomplishment. Call me crazy but there is something to be said about allowing yourself to feel empowered. What may be a small step for someone was a big step for me. 2019 was a big year. Lots of hills and lots of valleys! I don’t know if I’m able to put it into words but here is what I do know. 2019 made me stronger. It tested my character time and time again and inspired me to be better. I wanted a haircut to match the girl that came out of all that 2019 presented. A haircut that allowed me to stand tall, be proud and thank God for guiding me through my journey here on earth.
With my new hair, I eagerly welcome 2020! I don’t dare predict what God has in store but I look forward to living the life He has planned! My hair is a reminder that I am blessed to live in a community that I love (Holland), with friends that have become family and family that never fails to stay by side!

They have provided me with endless services, from facials, to lash lifts and tints, to hair cuts and hair colors! I genuinely love the oasis the salon has provided and look forward to my appointments every single time!
