If There’s a Road I Should Walk…

Does any one else feel like God has a very specific way of talking to them? Kind of a weird question, I know, but I ask because I truly feel like He speaks to me through song. At very least, songs are the outlet that I feel I connect with His messages most. I went to write this post and kind of blanked. I blanked because I have so much going on right now that I didn’t even know where to begin. My thoughts stretched further than the road in the pictures above! Should I talk about my outfit? Should I talk about life? Should I talk about what my devotional said this morning? I decided to forego all categories and simply write a little bit about what’s currently on my heart. I’m at a place in my life where I often wonder if the next step I’m choosing to take is “the right step”. I get caught up in doing what I think is best vs. what everyone else thinks is best. Some times the next step can be scary but what I am trying to focus on is that whether it appeases others or not, God’s plan will persevere! I’m grateful for the opportunities that I currently have in front of me but I admit, I’m overwhelmed, scared to take that next step. The song titled “Help Me Find it” by Sidewalk Prophets has never failed to help me find peace when I’m pulled in the many different directions that life can present. The song came on yesterday as I was driving to work and once again, brought me a sense of comfort. The lyrics read as such:

I don’t know where to go from here
It all used to seem so clear
I’m finding I can’t do this on my own
I don’t know where to go from here
As long as I know that You are near
I’m done fighting
I’m finally letting go
I will trust in You
You’ve never failed before
I will trust in You
If there’s a road I should walk
Help me find it
If I need to be still
Give me peace for the moment
Whatever Your will
Whatever Your will
Can you help me find it
Can you help me find it
I’m giving You fear and You give faith
I giving you doubt
You give me grace
For every step I’ve never been alone
Even when it hurts, You’ll have Your way
Even in the valley I will say
With every breath
You’ve never let me go
I will wait for You
You’ve never failed before
I will wait for You
Though life can seem overwhelming, do your best to find gratitude in the fact that we have a big God guiding us through life’s best and toughest moments! From my experience, taking a leap of faith can sometimes mean being still and simply listening to find out where one should leap! Happy Tuesday everyone.
Xoxo, Anna
