Dress: Target, Boots: DSW, Watch: Michael Kors, Sunglasses: Ray-Ban, Suitcase: Samsonite

I have the funniest story to share in regards to this dress. It might be one of those “had to be there” moments and get lost in translation but I figure it’s worth a shot! To give some background, I was in Austin, Texas for two reasons. First and foremost to visit one of my very best friends named Anna, and second, for a job interview. Cats out of the bag on that one, I did indeed go to Texas with a purpose! While I was there, I had three interviews with the same company. It was after the third and final interview that my friend Anna and I had plans to drive to Dallas to visit friends. It’s a bit of a drive from Austin and I was in my (black) interview suite. In the 103 degree heat, this was NOT ideal! In addition to that, I was in desperate need of some some coffee. Anna picked me up from my interview and we decided it would be easier to stop for coffee and then dig through my suitcase for a change of clothes.! We found a Starbucks inside of a nearby Target and once we parked the car we decided it was simply WAY to hot to stand outside and search for something to wear in the mess that was my suite case. So, instead we decided to hit the sale rack at Target in attempt to find an inexpensive option that I could travel in. Laziness at it’s finest! We hit the jackpot and I found this little gem for $12.00! Never a dull moment with Anna, we then went to the dressing room, tried it on, and I never took it off. I actually wore it to the register and had the nice checkout man scan the dress while I was still wearing it. He bagged up my interview suite, and off to Dallas we went in my new and very comfortable dress! Like I said, perhaps it was one of those “had to be there” moments, but nevertheless, it’s at very least a reminder to never underestimate the sale rack at Target! I ended up designating this dress as my “travel dress” and wore it to catch my plane back home to Michigan as well. What better way to depart from Texas than in this dress and especially in these boots?! I had to do it!

Thanks for reading!

Xoxo, Anna
