Verses For an Unprecedented Time

A sunny day can go a long way right now, can’t it?! How is everyone holding up? Wanted to write a short but sweet little message to all of you out there to just check in! While the crisis we are in is effecting us all differently, we are all in this together.

For those on the front lines: THANK YOU. Nurses, doctors, health care workers of all capacities, custodial workers, grocery workers, transit workers, small business workers, chefs, moms, dads, grandmas and grandpas, reporters, government officials and MORE, THANK YOU.

For those struggling: Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid or terrified for the Lord your God goes with you; he will never leave you nor forsake you. Deuteronomy 31:6

For those feeling scared: Peace I leave with you; my peace I give you. I do not give to you as the world gives. Do not let your hearts be troubled and do not be afraid. John 14:27

For those grieving: “Do not let your hearts be troubled. You believe in God; believe also in me. My Father’s house has many rooms; if that were not so, would I have told you that I am going there to prepare a place for you? And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come back and take you to be with me that you also may be where I am. You know the way to the place where I am going.” John 14:1-4

For those still working: Whatever you do, work at it with all your heart, as working for the Lord, not for human masters, since you know that you will receive an inheritance from the Lord as a reward. It is the Lord Christ you are serving. Colossians 3:23-24

For those caring for others: The Lord bless you and keep you; the Lord make his face shine on you and be gracious to you; the Lord turn his face toward you and give you peace. Numbers 6:24–26

For those worried about the future: Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus. Phillipians 4:6-7

My heart goes out to all during this unprecedented time. Do your best to keep your head up and take heart in knowing that while this all feels so uncertain, none of it is uncertain to our God. He’s got it!

Xoxo, Anna
