Westward Leading, Still Proceeding

Whenever I’m struggling, celebrating or searching, I head west to the lake. As I drove back into the city after spending some time at the lake this morning, this song came on and I had a thought. Though it’s my very own twist on the song, We Three Kings, I thought about it as such:

As I head west, I proceed onward to a place that always seems to guide me to God’s goodness. 

Though I can’t actually follow a bright star hovering over a stable to the place where Jesus was born, I can, in a sense, find Him as I head west. I do my best to live remembering that His perfect light is always all around us, however, for whatever reason, it fills me and surrounds me most when I head west to the lake! Westward leading, still proceeding!
