As if we weren’t crazy enough for shooting pictures in a ball gown, in the woods, we then went a little further! Keep scrolling! Brrrrrrrrr!!!!

Hahahahha! It’s hard to not laugh as I scroll through the pictures! I was so convinced that the pier would be the best spot to photograph this stunning dress, sent to me from Red Dress Boutique. I don’t think I was wrong in terms of a beautiful location for a picture, I do think I was wrong in terms of safety! IT WAS SO COLD. Hahhaha it was so cold, I genuinely believe I was bordering some sort of frost bite! (My mom is going to kill me when she reads this hehehe! Sorry mom!) Nevertheless, the journey out to the pier was very entertaining. Because of the waves, the walkway to the pier was one giant ice rink. To get to the part that I am standing on in the pictures up top, we literally skated! It was so ridiculous and I am still baffled that I insisted on doing it! Though my friend and photographer Serena and I nearly froze, we stand by, totally worth it! I’m in love with this beautiful red dress and it was so fun to wear as I dreamt about the fun places and events I would like to wear it to!

I’ve been wanting to write a post about what Christmas Day means to me but in all honesty, I’ve put it off because I’ve been lacking the words. Last week, I had coffee with a good friend who also happens to work in ministry. She reminded me that like relationships with people, sometimes our relationship with God goes through phases. I’m in a phase of wanting to feel close to Him yet struggling to. She encouraged me as she reminded me that that’s ok! Just because I don’t feel close to Him, doesn’t mean He’s not walking right beside me.

In this advent season, there has been a message that I have felt incredibly connected to. I find little reminders day after day and I really wanted to share with you all. If you too, are feeling far from God right now, thats ok. He is with you. Perhaps you can connect with this as you work to find that relationship with Him. Hope was born on Christmas Day! Try to wrap your head around that! It’s something I’ve been trying to do nearly the entirety of the month. HOPE. A word I use so often came to light when Jesus was born. With each year, Christmas Day holds more and more significance in my journey with God. Emotions of complete awe, gratitude and joy have filled my heart. If you have been following my journey, you know that I cling to hope! To really feel a connection with the reality that hope exists because of Jesus is so so beautiful and certainly something I’ve been rejoicing in.

Glory to God in the highest!

Xoxo, Anna
