Looking for a last minute Valentine’s outfit? Or perhaps you need a last minute gift! Again, I highly suggest checking East Lansing Threads! I love this dress that I picked up at the local boutique located right downtown. It’s super casual but has that pop of red that screams Valentine’s Day! The lace on the sleeves and back is to die for. The best part about this dress- the price. So reasonable! While I am not usually one to wear red (simply because I don’t really think it’s my color), I do make exceptions for holidays! Valentine’s Day is easily one of my favorites. Not necessarily the day itself, but more so the atmosphere that the day brings to February. So much pink and so much love!
The necklace I am wearing in the pictures above comes from The Giving Keys collection. With Valentine’s Day right around the corner, it makes for a great gift! The brand itself has such a cool story. The Giving Keys are currently carried in over 1200 stores in the US and internationally, one of which being East Lansing Threads! The company has a passion to help those that have been affected by homelessness. In case you haven’t heard about them, I pulled a bit of their story off of their website: “This story begins with a New York hotel room key. Actress and singer/songwriter, Caitlin Crosby, started wearing the hotel key as a necklace while on tour and had the idea to start engraving old, used keys with inspirational words. Realizing that, in a way, we are all like these keys – unique, flawed, scarred, and sometimes discarded by others – she wanted these keys to have their purpose renewed over and over again.” The unique key that I am wearing in the pictures above has the word HOPE stamped across it. The word hope holds such meaning, and to me personally, it has given me something to cling to. I always think of a little part from one of my favorite bible verse when I hear the word hope; Hebrews 6:19 “We have this hope as an anchor for the soul”.
