Sunday Revelation

“God has you exactly where He wants you. Learn to be happy where you are and God will take you where you want to be.” -unknown

A few months ago, I participated in a Fashion Show with JB & Me in an effort to support the MS program at Mercy Health. Before the event started, one of the sweet JB & Me gals read this quote. I ended up sharing it on Instagram not to long after because I really loved the message. The night I shared it, I remember I had spent the evening at the beach with Mac and felt beyond overjoyed to be loving my life, fully and completely in the moment. I felt like God had me in a place that was just meant to be. So, naturally, I used the quote in my instagram story hahah! I’ll add the picture below for reference. Time went by and the message dissipated into words. And then just the other day, I had a little revelation when the words popped back into my head for whatever reason. I was with one of my friends, walking along the river to happy hour and I read her the (above) quote. I said to her (something along the lines of), “I love Grand Rapids and this is where I should be.” She looked a me and said, “Duh, it’s called being content.” Hahah! Her response was awesome and definitely made me laugh. She’s my fun-loving, to the point, humbly simple friend! And she nailed it. What the quote so eloquently says is, learn to be content just as you are and trust God.

So any who, as I round the corner to my second year in Grand Rapids, I look forward to seeing what God has in store here in this city. As someone who bounced around a lot, post college, it’s exciting to learn to be happy right where I am, in a place that I love, with people I love, growing as a person and building a life! Having full faith that God has me exactly where He wants me is a pretty cool, life-giving feeling and I look forward to living my life to the fullest as His plan plays out.
