This past year, my family did Christmas a little differently than our usual. Collectively, we decided that our time together was far more special than any physical present we could give or receive. With my oldest sister and her family in Iowa City, my middle sister in Chicago, me in Grand Rapids and my mom in East Lansing, we are all scattered! So for Christmas, we traded presents for time. We picked sunny Mexico, a place we have all vacationed to in the past. It was the happiest little getaway and the perfect way to walk into the new year. I pieced together a little video with a snippet of our memories in Mexico! This trip will always hold a special place in my heart. Having baby Grace (my niece) with us for her first Christmas was without a doubt, the highlight of being there! She is getting so big and watching her personality shine through is so fun!
