I think this entire post can be summed up by a little phrase concocted by my good friend Denni. She texted me one day and it read, “Back to the mitten because it fits like a glove”. I love it! Short, sweet and to the point, it really does say it all. I am indeed back in Michigan! It just fits. As most of you probably pieced together, Texas was a short lived adventure. While I did like it there, it simply proved to be much too far from home. I am a Michigan girl through and through and I quickly realized that the Midwest is where I am meant to be (snow and all!). I realized that I could live in the coolest city in the entire world, and if I wasn’t surrounded by the people I love the most, it just meant nothing. Once I figured that out, I didn’t waste even a single second. I quit my job at lunch, packed up my car, and drove myself home! Though it all seems a little crazy, I know I made the right decision. Since being home, I really do feel like everything is falling into place. I am amazed and in awe of what can happen when you are willing to let go and trust that God has a plan. If I could script out my perfect journey through this life, this certainly wouldn’t have been it. From East Lansing, to Holland, to Austin and back to East Lansing all in just over a years time seems a little ridiculous right?! Nevertheless, I wouldn’t trade it for the world. The people I’ve met and the things that I’ve had the opportunity to see are all in God’s plan for me. He’s sent me on quite an adventure and I am excited to see what he has in store next.
As for my outfit, my sister got me this poncho for Christmas and I am obsessed. I wear it all the time. Truly, its like wearing a blanket all day long. I layered it with a rosy plum turtle neck and was ready to take on the snow! Just kidding..I didn’t exactly “take on the snow”… I actually froze. While I do love the snow, I don’t love the cold haha!
